WALL-C is a custom inhouse build device for Culture Biosciences' biological labs to periodically upload critical data collected by Cedex cell analyzers. Cell culture data is vital information for customers and to prevent any gaps in data, WALL-C uses an IR sensor disguised as the beloved Disney character's eyes to sense if someone hasn't been at the Cedex machine longer than 5 minuets and uploads the equipment data to the cloud.
Human Detection
Fixed angle IR sensor detects when equipment has been inactive for 5 minuets
Lab Bench Friendly
Recessed rubber feet grip to the lab bench and cable routing features provide cable strain relief and a tidy workspace

In addition to the IR sensor, WALL-C is equipped with an OLED display to report its current state (sleeping or uploading) to help troubleshoot if it's not operating correctly. Aside from asthenic appeal, the arms and treads also act as features to secure the two halves of the enclosure to hide the thread forming Delta PT screws.
The USB cable powering the Arduino Nano is routed out of a hole at the bottom of the enclosure and guided though a snap fit providing strain relief and cable routing to the back.
