The Electric Screwdriver combines the functionality of an electric drill and the precision of a screwdriver in a compact and easy to use device. Unlike most electric screwdrivers out in the market, this device allows the user to adjust the angle of the handle to tackle whatever job you throw at it. A high torque 12v motor powers the drill head to take the strain off your wrist. Coupled with a long lasting battery and durable body, the Electric Screwdriver is guaranteed to last.
Multi Component Design
7 cell battery pack, 12v motor, planetary gearbox, and 5 PCBs
Injection Molded Enclosure
DFM and DFA optimized part design
Multi Angle Use
Adjustable locking 25°to -20° working angle
USB-C Charging
Standard charging port allows the Electric Screwdriver to be charged quickly anywhere
Bright LED Light
Translucent PC ring backlit by LED ring illuminates the work space
The Electric Screwdriver contains a planetary gearbox attached to a 12V motor that is controlled by a forward and backward switch mounded on the gray handle. The device is changed via a USB C located at the bottom of the handle which charges 7 battery cells. 4 "dummy" PCBs are used to add complexity to the design for DFM and DFA considerations. Surrounding the head of the driver is a translucent ring to allow light from the LED ring inside to illuminate the subject being screwed in. The round spring loaded black button on the handle locks the rotation of the handle into 1 of 3 orientations: 25, 0, and -20 degrees using slots embedded in the button and a groove on the main green body. 2 M2 screws screw into the translucent ring and the 2 halves of the main body enclosure to keep it together, snap fits at the back and sides of the main body still need to be designed to hold it together. A similar method of attachment is used to attach the 2 halves of the handle. Screws and snap fits are used as opposed to ultrasonic welding or adhesives to provide better reliability and serviceability.
